Usually, Vodia, as a SaaS provider, gets many questions about our product concerning the usability, accessibility, cross platform support, mobile and desktop apps, customization and quality of service. It is rather interesting to see that security concerns are rarely addressed, and the end customer, you, are provided very little information about data integrity, availability and confidentiality – the sacred CIA Triad. Together, these three principles form the cornerstone of any organization’s security infrastructure; in fact, they (should) function as goals and objectives for every security program.
Confidentiality: the protection of information from unauthorized access

Thanks to the HTTPS and WSS, it’s guaranteed all data exchanges between the client and the Vodia cloud PBX are always secure: as precaution it’s actually impossible to initiate the call, or do anything from the user portal, unless HTTPS is used.
We have a sophisticated mechanism in place that tracks login attempts and, if it detects any malicious activity, the IP gets blacklisted right away. Admins can also check login activity for clear indication of unsuccessful login attempts. All of us, as end users, hate when password policies are overcomplicated and almost impossible to keep track of. While Vodia does have a password reset option, we also have a password strength setting that can be tweaked to find the middle ground between security and insanity.
Many people in the IT industry have heard of instances where services go down. This is sometimes due to network errors, sometimes due to DDoS attacks, or sometimes due to system overload. If you favor cloud, then we have a robust failover mechanism that guarantees the availability of your service in any weather.
With the angry acronym GDRP, which is loved for privacy and hated for the annoying popups we have to click through on a daily basis, it’s good news for our customers that Vodia doesn’t share any data with third parties. Reason one: all our clients run their own instances of the PBX; hence we have no involvement with nor access to your data. Reason two: we don’t actually collect any data. Of course in cases when a CRM system or something like Google sign in is involved, there could be a potential data exposure, but those companies usually only have access to limited data, and they have rather secure sophisticated integrations.
Installing our PBX, even a second PBX alongside your office PBX to enable remote or hybrid work, requires no migration and results in no disruption to your original PBX – it’s just a simple second step. And you can be certain we are constantly fine-tuning our PBX to not only improve its functionality but to continue to contribute to the security of your data.
